Snell said classroom learning was "unbelievable" and that traffic and bus operations have improved each day. He provided districtwide updates: construction documents for an elementary campus (referred to as "elementary 8") and renovations to a high school are about 50 percent complete; Legacy Ranch High School's baseball, softball and tennis facilities were substantially complete and the district planned a walk-through with the fire marshal. Administrators said the baseball turf was removed this week and replacement should take about three weeks, weather permitting.
On facilities systems, Snell said several HVAC units experienced failures after switching to control mode; the district replaced motherboards and said most units are now operational. A small number of units serving occupied areas required temporary cooling.
Snell also noted the business office's internal audit starts that week, and discussed enrollment figures presented to the board, saying the district's total enrollment was higher than last year by district-reported amounts.

The board moved on to the consent agenda and later approved multiple action items after returning from closed session.
