Jury redirects unused HB2 funds to Red Bluff and Bethlehem road projects, commits matching funds for Red Bluff reconstruction

Separately, jurors passed a resolution to commit matching funds in the 2026 budget for design and construction of the Red Bluff Road reconstruction project; staff said the parish’s matching portion would be roughly $3,000,000 and HB2 funds would cover the remainder under the typical 75/25 split (administration comments SEG 1738–1766). Jurors discussed project geography and the importance of adopting the resolution now so the parish could spend HB2 funds and remain eligible for additional allocations in future cycles.
Jurors asked for clarification of project extents and local impacts; administration described Red Bluff Road running from LA 175 to the interstate and said Bethlehem Road is the short piece where Highway 5 ends. The reallocations and the matching-resolution vote passed on the floor.
