Commission Recommends Road Dedication for 100 East; Commissioner Recuses

Planning staff presented a proposal to dedicate right-of-way for 100 East, a collector road that would extend north from 900 North. Commissioners asked whether curb cuts would be limited; staff said no specific limits were proposed beyond standard spacing and intersection-distance rules for collector roads. Commissioner Tom disclosed an 85-year lease on a nearby parcel and asked whether he should recuse; the commission determined recusal was appropriate. A motion for a positive recommendation was moved and seconded; the motion carried with Tom abstaining.
Staff will forward the commission's recommendation to the City Council and continue project preparation, including arranging easements and construction bidding.
