The Cedar City Planning Commission on July 1 tabled a proposed rezoning in the Iron Horse residential overlay district after a series of residents urged commissioners to delay action until developer representatives could respond to questions about traffic, density and changes to earlier plans.
Residents from Saddleback Ridge said the change from Residential Agricultural (RA) to Residential Estates (RE) or mixed-use would bring higher traffic, more rentals and lower property values. "This shift threatens the very qualities that make Saddleback Ridge a safe, family-centered community," said Jorel, a Saddleback Ridge resident, during the public-comment period.
