County staff opened three sealed bids and reported that Maynard Landscaping’s submission met procurement requirements and included a valid bid bond and signed affidavits. Staff requested the board take the bids under advisement while verifying documentation; after tabulation they recommended awarding the contract to Maynard Landscaping and the board approved the recommendation.
The board also authorized the board president to sign the necessary contract documents and approved a temporary construction easement from a neighboring property owner, identified in the packet as Miss Abney, to be filed with the chancery clerk to allow construction to proceed.
Board members recorded standard motions and seconds for the award and signature authorization. The engineer said the bid had been verified and “we saw no issues and no errors in their bids,” and the board carried the motions without recorded roll-call tallies beyond the recorded affirmative vote.
