Frank Bordeaux, who presented quotes to the board, said the proposed renewal moves the two‑party premium line from $1,000,003.68 to $1,000,003.72 and noted the stop‑loss level rose from $5.50 to $5.80; Bordeaux said the county had pushed back on larger increases and that overall the renewal was better than anticipated. "All other terms and conditions remain the same," he said.
District 3 moved to "authorize county personnel to receive any old documents to bind coverage for the 2026 insurance renewal," and District 2 seconded the motion. The motion carried 5–0.
The board also handled routine fiscal and administrative items. The clerk announced payroll for the check date Dec. 5, 2025, totaling $906,933.81. At Fort Harbor, a representative requested approval of the docket of claims dated Dec. 8 in the amount of $620,082.96 and presented a new lease with Solatio Logistics and Holdings: a two‑year term beginning Jan. 1, 2026, at $145,706.22 annually with two one‑year renewal options. Both the docket of claims and the Solatio lease were approved by unanimous votes.
