During discussion councilors requested an explicit signage rule to prevent persistent yard-sale signs on city streets; the council added a provision limiting yard-sale signage to two days before the sale and requiring removal immediately after the sale. A motion to adopt the ordinance with that signage amendment was moved, seconded and approved by recorded vote.
City staff were instructed to prepare the final ordinance language and enforcement steps for publication and implementation through planning and code enforcement.
