During a public hearing on weed abatement under Resolution No. 2025‑032, Deputy Fire Marshal Ryan Rucker explained abatement standards and deadlines; abatement work not completed by May 31 would be performed by the city contractor and costs assessed to properties. After public comment and questions about alternatives (including goat grazing), Vice Mayor Branning moved to direct staff to proceed with the abatement program; Councilmember Wong seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
Both actions were procedural approvals and did not authorize additional discretionary projects beyond those already described in staff materials.
