Battery Creek High School held its third annual Heart Health Awareness Day to teach students about exercise, nutrition and building healthy habits, the county bulletin reported.
An unidentified Battery Creek representative said, "Putting heart health first," and noted that February is American Heart Month. Another school representative said the program aims to raise awareness early because the region is known as part of the "Stroke Belt" and high blood pressure is a leading cause of strokes.
The full heart health awareness video is available at youtube.com/@bufordschools, the bulletin said.
