Staff presented plans showing a 30‑by‑30 addition on the southeast corner of the lot and a 60‑by‑55 addition tied into the north portion of the building. Staff noted a discrepancy between the fence line and the open‑records property boundary and said engineered stamped plans must be submitted before permitting. A water meter and a vacated water line were discussed; staff said the water line would need to be moved before permitting and that 811 would be contacted to locate utilities.
An individual who identified himself as Jason described the addition’s single‑slope roof from west to east and said taller sidewalls would help shed water away from neighboring properties. Staff said runoff should be directed to the existing retention pond and did not expect adverse effects on neighboring parcels.
A motion to approve the site plans as presented by the building official was moved and carried by the commission. Staff told the applicant that engineered stamped plans and any required utility relocations must be completed before issuance of permits.
