The Planning Commission approved the final site plan for the Skyrim townhomes development (FSP26-04), a 132-unit townhome project at 290 North 3100 West. Staff said the project has construction drawings approved and must comply with the outstanding development agreement and associated height and landscape conditions. Commissioners approved the final site plan subject to staff and JUC comments.
Members pressed staff and the applicant about access and connectivity: a portion of the project's travel route currently relies on a private parking lot (Walmart parcel) for circulation; staff said the city is pursuing a master-planned connection (290 North) and land exchanges to consolidate public rights-of-way, but emphasized that further development of adjacent parcels will determine final publicly owned connections. The commission approved the plan while asking staff to monitor future access negotiations.
