Assembly Holds Adjournments in Memory for James Armstrong, TK Carter and Dave Hodges

"May his memory be a blessing to all of us," Gibson said as she requested the adjournment in his memory.
Assemblymember Rubio spoke on behalf of Thomas Kent Carter, known as TK, describing his entertainment career and community impact, noting his roles in film and television and the recent memorial service that drew family, friends, and colleagues. Rubio asked that the body adjourn in memory of TK Carter.
Assemblymember Berner requested adjournment in memory of Dave Hodges, who established Solana Beach's Belly Up Tavern in 1974. Berner described Hodges's role in bringing national and international artists to the venue, his support for local artists and nonprofits, and the venue's cultural significance to San Diego County. "His legacy stands the test of time," Berner said.
The Assembly deemed these adjournments read and instructed that names be printed in the journal. These ceremonial adjournments are a routine part of the Assembly's recognition of notable Californians.
