The Oregon City Schools Board on Nov. 19 approved a memorandum of understanding with the Oregon City Federation of Teachers, Local 1080, American Federation of Teachers to make additions and modifications to the collective bargaining agreement.
The MOU adds a supplemental position section (j) to provide for a wrestling assistant coach. Trustees moved and seconded the memorandum and approved it by roll call.
Board discussion was brief; trustees signaled support for expanding extracurricular opportunities and noted prior conversations with coaches and administrators led to this change. The superintendent and board members thanked those involved in negotiations.
The board recorded the motion and approved the MOU during the consent agenda vote.
