2025 chip‑seal project Director of Streets presented comparative bids and oil supply options (Ergon vs. BlackRock/Quebeco), citing recent price changes and past performance. “Ergon is the cheapest and so, I'm recommending going Ergon,” the director said, explaining Ergon’s prior local performance and a roughly $3,000 overall cost advantage in the modeled 60,000‑square‑yard comparison. The commission voted to approve procurement of Ergon oil and contracting for the 2025 chip‑seal work.
Police vehicles and outfitting Police Chief Earhart requested authorization to purchase three vehicles (one paid from existing Murph funds this year, two financed in future budgets) and recommended local upfitter JR Audio for lights, radios and data systems at an estimated additional outfitting cost (chief estimated ~$15,000). The commission approved the vehicle purchases and included the JR Audio upfitting authorization.
