Anthem Park Boulevard to close Aug. 4 for two weeks; large sewer project expected to wind down by September

John LaFolle, communications manager for Herriman City, said the Anthem Park Boulevard closure is scheduled to begin Monday, Aug. 4, between Mountain View Corridor and Main Street and was expected to last about two weeks. ‘‘That closure, Anthem Park Boulevard between Mountain View Corridor and Main Street will be closed starting Monday, August 4, unless it changes again,’’ LaFolle said.

LaFolle said contractors were instructed to finish the work before school starts, since school traffic adds complexity. He described a ‘‘time cushion’’ built into the schedule but urged the public to expect heavy work during the two-week window and said businesses on the route will be impacted temporarily.

On the broader utilities front, LaFolle described an ongoing sewer project as ‘‘a huge, mammoth project’’ that has frustrated some residents but said crews are making progress and he expects completion around September. ‘‘Originally, the timeline, as far as I understood, was next spring. I think they're going to be done within by the September,’’ he said.
