Park City highlights $100 million 3 Kings water treatment plant, cites one-third of supply from Spiro Tunnel
Summary
Council member Bill Sirocco said the city invested more than $100 million in the 3 Kings water treatment plant, which treats about 7,000,000 gallons a day and supplies roughly one-third of Park City’s water; staff relocated public utilities to the new facility and the design was chosen to blend into the residential neighborhood.

Bill Sirocco, a Park City council member, said the 3 Kings water treatment plant is the city’s largest infrastructure project and “Over a $100,000,000 was invested in this plant,” noting the facility treats about 7,000,000 gallons a day and that roughly one-third of the city’s water comes from the Spiro Tunnel. He added the city relocated its public utilities team to new offices at the 3 Kings site.
The plant’s design aimed to minimize visual impact in a residential neighborhood near Silver King development, Sirocco said, and officials stressed care was taken so the facility would “not stick out like a sore thumb.” He described the project as providing a clean, safe, reliable water source from inside the mountain.
Council members did not announce any new policy actions or rate changes tied to the plant at the event; the remarks presented the plant as a completed capital investment and a long-term operational asset for Park City. The relocation of the public utilities team to on-site offices was framed as an operational benefit but no implementation timeline or budget adjustments were provided.
