John LaFollette, communications manager for Herriman City, told listeners that Utah Transit Authority will begin a new bus line through Herriman on April 14. “That’ll start April 14. First full time bus route in Herriman that I’m aware of,” LaFollette said.
LaFollette said the route will connect Daybreak and the Frontrunner Station in Draper, run through Herriman and continue to Riverton. He said local officials see the new line as a positive development and expressed hope for additional service in the future, while noting UTA is the transit agency operating the route and the city is not the service operator.
No specific schedule beyond the April 14 start date was discussed on the podcast. LaFollette said a news agency had covered the route and that the city expects the service to improve regional connections for Herriman residents.
