The Communities Foundation of Texas (CFT) announced a new fundraising campaign to benefit arts and humanities organizations in the Dallas region.
Greg Ortel, director of philanthropic services at CFT, said the initiative, called "North Texas Gives to the Arts," will run April 17–30 on northtexasgivingday.org and will include $100,000 in matching funds from the Gianna Foundation Fund, the Robert B. and Virginia Payne Fund for the Arts and Culture, and CFT. Ortel said the campaign is intended to help donors support more than 400 participating arts and humanities organizations and that "100% of every donation made on the Giving Day profile will go directly to non profits."
Why it matters: The campaign provides a coordinated fundraising window and matching incentives that organizers said aim to increase contributions to local arts groups, many of which rely on a mix of philanthropic and public support.
Next steps: CFT representatives said they will share campaign details and fundraising guidance by email with participating organizations and encouraged arts groups to prepare profiles on the giving-day platform ahead of the April launch.
