Herriman City officials said staff from Congressman Burgess Owens will be at Herriman City Hall next Wednesday from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. to offer one-on-one constituent services such as passport assistance and help navigating federal agencies.
"A few times a year the staff from Congressman Burgess Owens comes to rent out a conference room at the city hall. They do this at a number of places too throughout the area," John LaFollette said. He emphasized the visits are intended for individual appointments rather than a town-hall-style policy forum.
"I wanted to clarify, it's not that," LaFollette said, responding to apparent public confusion about the mobile office format. Mary Palmer added that the staff has helped residents with passport issues and other federal matters in the past.
Residents seeking help were advised to bring relevant documentation and to contact the congressman's office or the city for scheduling and questions.
