The City of Dallas is preparing facilities and volunteer opportunities for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, including an international broadcast center inside the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas and a planned fan experience likely to be located in Fair Park.
Catherine Cuellar, project manager for the convention center master plan, said Dallas and the North Texas region will host World Cup events and that the convention center is building "an international broadcast center, which is really going to be the broadcast headquarters for journalists from around the world." She added that reporters will broadcast live from Dallas to studios worldwide during matches.
Cuellar said nine World Cup matches will be held in Arlington at AT&T Stadium and that North Texas will host teams who will use nearby base camps for training and lodging. She explained that organizers expect to confirm which teams will base in North Texas in December 2025 and that volunteer scheduling is likely to follow. "Those volunteers will get scheduled likely after December of 2025 which is when we will find out which international teams will have base camps in North Texas," she said.
The city is also soliciting expressions of interest from businesses that want to provide services during the event and directing businesses and prospective volunteers to the Dallas‑Fort Worth FIFA 2026 website for forms and additional information. Cuellar said a fan experience in Fair Park would provide watch parties and official game‑watching events for visitors and residents.
