Edwin said the work has been budgeted in capital projects ($50,000 previously allocated) and that Quality Pro’s quote of $21,926 is substantially below the prior $50,000 estimate; the contractor indicated the work could be completed in roughly seven days and could be scheduled during the facility’s planned cleaning week.
Council members asked about logistics (bench removal, area closures) and confirmed the work scope includes locker rooms, the pool entrance and hallway areas where the speckled flake surface will be removed and recoated for uniform appearance. A motion to proceed with Quality Pro passed by voice vote.
Staff will schedule the contractor during the planned maintenance closure, coordinate any temporary closures and confirm final scheduling with the Parks/Rec team.
