City staff and engineering consultants presented proposed streets and utility reconstruction work for areas including Bonney Drive/1000 West and a section of 200 West. The proposal included transite (asbestos‑cement) replacement, sewer replacement, curb and gutter repair and related utility work; an engineering/observation/contract management fee line of roughly $192,100 was referenced for one scope.
Council members said the packet did not clearly tie the engineering-phase approvals to the overall project estimate and requested a consolidated presentation showing total project costs, the portion assigned to engineering and what remains for construction so the public record and minutes tie fees to specific projects. Staff and the consultant agreed to compile the original project materials presented to council, combine them with the new attachments and return with a complete package for approval.
A motion to table the related contract and letter approvals until the next council meeting — when staff will provide an overall project estimate and tie engineering fees to each scoped work item — was made and seconded and passed by voice vote.
