District staff then offered remarks of thanks and presented 'Face of a Raven' recognitions. Staff awardees included Kim Eisenman (director of transportation) and Ro Hall (intervention specialist at West Main Elementary). Student awardees named by the district included preschooler Alexandria Hale; kindergarten student Amaya Moore; Manara Robinson (grade 3); Camille Parker (grade 7); and Jamieson Patrick (grade 10), among others. The district recessed briefly to take photos before resuming business.
The recognitions were presented as a formal acknowledgment of service and student achievement; the proclamation will be kept on file in the board office.
