Brazos County elections administrator urges voters to bring photo ID; offers alternatives and early-voting date

Trudy Hancock, Brazos County elections administrator, reminded voters that they must present a photo ID when they cast a ballot and outlined options for those who lack one.

"You're required to show a photo ID when you cast your ballot," Hancock said. She added that voters without a photo ID "can vote with other items using a reasonable impediment declaration." Hancock also reassured voters that an expired voter registration certificate "does not mean you're unable to vote" and "will not hinder you at all when you go to the polls." Early voting is scheduled to begin Tuesday, Feb. 17, a change Hancock attributed to Presidents Day falling on Monday. For more information, she directed listeners to elections.brazoscountytx.gov.
