At the Feb. 3, 2026 meeting in Hamlin, the Lincoln County Board of Education completed routine business and recorded unanimous votes on a series of administrative items.
The board approved the minutes (motion by Cartwright; second by Mosteller) by recorded roll call (4‑0). The consent agenda (items A and B) was approved (motion by Mosteller; second by Cartwright), and two policies (2275 and 2340) were approved for a 30‑day review period (motion by Cartwright; second by Mosteller), each action recorded as carried 4‑0.
The board authorized payment of bills (motion by Cartwright; second by Mosteller) and approved personnel items from the board packet (motion by Cartwright; second by Mosteller); both motions carried 4‑0.
Late in the meeting a motion by Cartwright, seconded by Miss McComas, passed to enter executive session to discuss a personnel matter (recorded vote 4‑0; time noted at 6:21 p.m.). The board later reconvened and the chair stated on the public record that no votes or decisions were made during executive session.
The board adjourned at 6:47 p.m. and set its next regular meeting for Feb. 17, 2026, at 6 p.m. at the Central Office in Hamelin.
