Board approves CAD contract, parks sanitation contract, holiday pay and proclamation for Supervisor Gary

In consent and pulled-item votes, Stafford supervisors approved a new computer-aided dispatch and records-management contract, ratified a parks sanitation contract, granted additional holiday pay for county employees Dec. 24, and adopted a proclamation honoring Supervisor Monica Gary (5-2).
The Board of Supervisors took several routine and pulled consent actions Dec. 2.
Sheriff's office leadership explained a contract with Central Square Technologies for a new computer-aided dispatch and records-management system (R25-298); board members asked about an additional $674,000 for project management and interface costs, and the sheriff said the funding covered project management, integration and contingencies. The board approved the contract unanimously.
Parks and Recreation asked the board to ratify prior expenditures and a contract with Clean Restroom Rentals, Inc. for portable sanitary facilities and pump-and-haul services (R25-264). After questions about scope and the number of facilities (staff estimated approximately 15 to 20 units), the board approved the measure 6-1.
County administration requested and won authorization to provide an additional four hours of holiday pay on Dec. 24 for county employees; the vote was unanimous.
A proclamation (P25-31) honoring Supervisor Monica Gary for years of service was discussed after a pull from consent. Supervisor Balke and others defended recognizing Gary's service; Supervisor Buenke said, given recent board actions, she could not support the proclamation. The board approved the proclamation 5-2.
Other items approved during the meeting included authorization for preliminary design services (Warrenton Road) to advance 30% design, noting the county's strategy to strengthen Smart Scale grant applications by completing more of the design work. The board also approved a reconsideration and other procedural votes as part of consent handling.
