Planning staff reported that the board of supervisors recently amended planning commission representation to an eight-member body: one appointment from each of five election districts, one representative from the governing body and two at-large members. Staff identified members and term expirations (for example, William Day’s term expired on April 30, 2025) and said the board may consider a Northwest District appointment at its July 22 meeting.
Staff offered to prepare larger, 11-by-17 maps focusing on secondary streets so commissioners can better understand election-district boundaries. Mr. Randolph also noted the county website needs a correction for a member whose term listing remains outdated. Commissioners agreed staff would remind respective supervisors when reappointments are due.
No formal votes were taken on appointments at this meeting; staff indicated the board of supervisors will make forthcoming appointments.
