The Erie City Advisory Council conducted routine governance business Wednesday: members reelected the chair, selected a vice chair and secretary, approved the amended meeting agenda and the November 2025 minutes, and voted to approve the 2025 annual report.
During new business members agreed the chair would draft a letter to Mayor Devlin outlining the Council’s priorities and subcommittee initiatives, circulate the draft by email for member feedback, and plan to vote on the final letter at a subsequent meeting; the Council did not take a formal vote to transmit the letter during the Jan. 28 meeting.
Members also discussed an open seat on the advisory council (term expired), clarified that City Council makes appointments to fill vacancies, and noted an associate member present may be a viable candidate for nomination. The meeting adjourned at about 4:08 p.m.
No policy changes or ordinance adoptions were recorded during the meeting; several items were forwarded for further work and follow‑up.
