Letcher County Fiscal Court heard multiple procurement awards tied to disaster road repairs and local facility maintenance on Feb. 16.
Avery, presenting road-repair updates, reported two disaster projects: project 731318, awarded to CCC Construction (low bid $3,370.80), and project 731321, awarded to Beyond Glass Construction (low bid $5,429.07). The court approved both awards on roll call.
Staff also reported a single responsive bid of $31,329.50 from K and J Concrete Polishing to grind and polish the climbing room, bowling alley and road-department floors at the recreation center. The court moved and approved that procurement; staff said the same contractor previously completed larger work at the center, providing consistency for finishing and baseboard work.
Court members asked clarifying questions about bid timing and invoice backlogs during the bills section; staff said paying three months of invoices this period will help catch up to current vendor payments.
