Committee postpones four UPAK‑related rules for lack of backup, then adjourns
Summary
Committee members postponed four UPAK‑related rules (R277‑210, R277‑211, R277‑215, R277‑217) because necessary backup materials were not provided, and referred an unrelated board policy item to Finance before adjourning unanimously.

The Law & Licensing Committee postponed four rules related to UPAK (R277‑210, R277‑211, R277‑215 and R277‑217) after committee members noted the public backup materials were missing from the agenda packet.
Chair Carey explained these items had been listed previously but lacked supporting documents in the public record. Deputy Superintendent Noe and Director Rasmussen said board members had requested the items appear on the January agenda but that the policy team did not receive backup materials. Given that, a committee member moved to postpone the rules to a later date; the motion passed unanimously.
The committee also discussed Item 1.8 (a proposed board policy change). Staff said Finance is the committee that will consider one of the board members’ requests related to grant‑timeline review; other requests (about Facebook pages and an RFP process) were not being addressed by Finance at this time. The committee referred the policy item to Finance and then voted unanimously to adjourn.
