The department said the incident began after a 911 call and a text to 911 reported the subject, later identified as Martin Benes, was drinking, armed and making threats inside the residence. Officials said Benes had cut off an ankle monitor earlier in the evening, triggering a warrant for insufficient bond related to an aggravated-assault-with-a-deadly-weapon charge.
