Unidentified Speaker 9 said the developer is completing a drainage study to determine whether portions of the 3 or 5 acres would be required for detention ponds, and that outcomes depend on the study’s findings.
Board members also asked about a railroad spur to allow trains to back in for loading. Unidentified Speaker 9 said earlier conversations on a spur related to a particular development that did not proceed and noted that railroads generally expect a committed user before investing in spur construction.
Board members agreed the master plan and industrial-park strategy could be discussed in a committee or future meeting so the public can observe the process; no formal action was taken.
