Councilman plans emergency resolution on Feb. incident evidence; councilmember to move solicitor review

Daniels described community safety concerns and referenced a recent confrontation, saying "Mister Ruffin was, you know, held in the middle of the street." He told the committee he would declare the item an emergency.
Separately, a councilmember said she will request at the next council meeting that the village manager locate a new solicitor because of "no confidence" in the current solicitor; she indicated this will be presented as a verbal motion at the regular council meeting.
Both items were announced as miscellaneous business and will return to the full council for motions or resolutions; no formal votes or final actions on either measure occurred at the Committee of the Whole.
