He also said that under the contract the village pays for pickup for properties that have water utilities running to them: "If they have water utilities going to them ... that's what he's referring" (billing tied to water service connections).
Council members asked operational questions. One member asked whether the village could get an audit from the contractor or account executive to confirm the list of homes with active water lines so the village is not billed for units at vacant or nonmetered properties; Mister Brown said he believed an audit or account review could be provided. The presenter described flexibility to reallocate contract services to support restroom construction at recreational sites if needed.
