Councilwoman Phyllis Baber moved to set the matter on the table and to refer it to committee so that council could "get more information about it before we vote on it." Councilwoman Trina Carter seconded the motion. The clerk recorded six aye votes and the motion carried.
The meeting record shows the action was procedural; council did not debate the substance of the land-use plan during this session and no new text of the plan was discussed on the floor. Council indicated a desire for more information before taking a future vote.
