Lincoln Heights council adopts emergency addendum with Rumpke for solid-waste collection

The Village of Lincoln Heights council voted unanimously Feb. 9 to authorize the village manager to enter into an addendum with Rumpke for solid-waste collection services.
Council read the measure by title as Resolution 2026-R-21, “resolution authorizing the village manager to enter into an addendum to the agreement with Rumpke for the solid waste collection services.” After a motion to suspend the rules and a second, the council voted by roll call with six aye votes to receive the resolution for passage.
Council then separately moved and approved the ordinance’s emergency clause. The clerk recorded six yes votes for both the passage and the emergency clause.
No mover or seconder was identified on the roll calls beyond the voice motions taken on the floor; council members recorded as voting yes were Councilwoman Phyllis Baber, Councilwoman Sarita Brown, Councilwoman Trina Carter, Councilman Norvory Tate, Vice Mayor Deron Daniels and Mayor Tanya Key. The resolution and emergency clause were recorded as carrying 6–0.
