Councilmembers discussed a variety of options — localized sales taxes, repurposing city land and colocation opportunities — and staff said redistricting work and additional council‑community conversations are prerequisites to any major acceleration of school construction. Several councilmembers asked staff to provide memos showing where middle‑school projects might fit under alternative scenarios including reprioritization or new revenue assumptions.
