Commission approves minutes and adjourns after presentations and public comment

The California Commission on the State of Hate took two formal procedural actions during its March 26 meeting.
First, the commission moved to approve the minutes of the Feb. 26, 2025 meeting. A motion was made and seconded; the meeting recorder conducted a roll‑call vote in which each commissioner verbally recorded "Aye," and the minutes were approved.
Later, after subcommittee reports, commissioner announcements and final public comment, Commissioner Cuellar moved to adjourn; Commissioner Suthers seconded, and the commission agreed to adjourn at approximately 11:50 a.m.
No formal votes on the draft annual report or on policy recommendations were taken during the session; staff will return a revised draft at the April meeting for a planned vote before the July 1 statutory deadline.
