Deputy Chief of Administration Darius Brown presented an administrative item on Jan. 21 recommending renewal of the Tollway's employee assistance program with Perspectives Limited.
Brown said the EAP provides confidential, voluntary counseling, peer‑group support, trauma‑informed resiliency workshops and training for supervisors to help identify employees who may benefit from services. The contract reported four bids, named Perspectives Limited as the incumbent and recommended award of contract number 25‑0041R for an initial three‑year term not to exceed $233,820, with a possible two‑year renewal amount noted as $157,848.
Brown underscored the role of the EAP in supporting employee wellness and safety and encouraged directors to promote awareness of services. The administration item was moved and seconded in committee and approved for placement on the full board agenda; the full board approved the administration item on Jan. 21 by voice vote.
