The Waste Reduction District Board of Directors unanimously elected a slate of officers for 2026 on Feb. 12, naming Isabel Piedmont Smith chair, Jody Madera vice chair and Kate Welch secretary. The motion to approve the slate was made, seconded and approved by roll-call vote.
The board convenor called the meeting to order and confirmed a quorum before nominations began. Following the vote, members discussed scheduling the executive committee meeting by email to accommodate the newly appointed committee member, Commissioner Madera.
Board members did not debate the slate at length; the motion passed on a unanimous roll-call. The board will finalize the executive committee schedule via email prior to meeting.
