Wood County board approves batch of budget adjustments, trail funding and emergency ordinance; speed limit change passes 17–1

The Wood County Board on Tuesday approved a package of budget reconciliation resolutions and a string of routine and policy measures, including an ordinance that changed the speed limit on a portion of County Trunk Highway B.

Chair called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m., led an invocation and the pledge of allegiance before the board moved through committee reports and packet items. Clerk Trent read a series of budget adjustments and departmental updates included in the meeting packet, then presented a slate of resolutions.

Why it matters: The board’s votes accept previously identified or unanticipated revenues and reallocate funds within county budgets, enabling projects and operations to proceed without added county levy. Several resolutions also establish county positions on state policy or make county trails eligible for state maintenance dollars.

What the board approved: Supervisor Zervin moved to approve a set of reconciliation resolutions that the clerk had read into the record. The board approved that package 18–0.
