Councilor Woods moved to appoint the following individuals with terms beginning March 1, 2026 unless otherwise noted: Sheba Lane and Tracy Toye to the Stanton Redevelopment and Housing Authority (four‑year terms); Randolph Burton and Coy Hurd to the Lewis Creek Watershed Advisory Board (three‑year terms); Bart McDowell to the Landscape Advisory Board (three‑year term); Maggie Reagan to the Shenandoah Valley Airport Commission (three‑year term); Joy Ingram to the Social Services Advisory Board (four‑year term); and Jeff Bender and Stephanie Mason to the Youth Commission (three‑year terms). Council voted to adopt the appointments by roll call (all members “Aye”).
Council also approved the consent agenda with no items removed for separate consideration; the mayor explained that, per policy memorandum, routine noncontroversial items are placed on the consent agenda and are approved in one motion unless a council member requests removal.
