Council committees approve array of contracts, land transfers and amendments in brief session

Public Works approved a one‑year agreement with Eastern Research Group Inc. for recycling education outreach (not to exceed $100,000) and a resolution granting permanent access at no cost to the city to a parcel behind the former Fort Pitt Elementary School to support the Fort Pitt Park master plan.
The Innovation committee authorized a one‑year agreement with SMIGO LLC for ArcGIS administrative support (not to exceed $49,900). The Intergovernmental committee approved coordination for Homewood House (a 100‑unit building) with the Housing Authority to preserve affordable housing, a cooperation agreement for HOME‑ARP with Allegheny County partners at no cost to the city, and the Pittsburgh Land Bank acquisitions of multiple city parcels (bills 26‑48 through 26‑52), all receiving affirmative recommendations.
