Utah County commissioners approved a resolution Dec. 17 authorizing the human services manager to execute Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) landlord agreements on behalf of the county, but they removed language that would allow a designee to sign.
A commissioner said the program caps assistance at four months, which eased concerns about adding a designee to the signing authority. County staff said the manager (Claudia) currently runs the program and would handle execution; staff had proposed designee language to allow future flexibility if the manager later delegated tasks.
Commissioners voted to approve item 15 with the word "designee" struck, limiting signature authority to the human services manager. The motion passed by voice vote.
