A review of procedural actions taken at the West Valley City Council study meeting on April 8, 2025:
Minutes: A motion to approve the minutes of March 25, 2025 was made and seconded; the mayor called for the question and members answered "aye," approving the minutes by voice vote.
Closed session (pending litigation): Later in the meeting a motion and second were made to go into closed session to discuss pending litigation. The council conducted a roll‑call vote. The following members answered "Yes": miss Kemp; Council member Wood; Council member Whetstone; Council member Harmon; Council member Hune; Council member Christiansen; Council member Nordfeldt; and Mayor Lane. The motion passed unanimously. The council scheduled a five‑minute break before entering closed session.
No other formal ordinances, resolutions or budget actions were adopted during the study meeting; several items (including the commemorative street name and a building renaming request) were presented for future council action.
