The DuPage County Human Services Committee on Feb. 3 approved a batch of contract amendments, budget transfers and program modifications affecting the county’s human services programs.
Committee members moved through the agenda in a single vote cycle and approved items including a $150,000 increase to a Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program contract with Healthy Air Heating and Air Inc., modifications to HOME and CDBG agreements, a set of purchase-order closings, and small budget transfers to cover security equipment and part-time help.
The action items approved included amendments to county contract 78540001 for LIHEAP, first modifications to HOME agreements with Taft and Exmor LP and with Addison Horizon Limited Partnership, and a CDBG modification with the Village of Addison that incorporates newly effective prevailing-wage requirements. The committee also approved a second extension for a CDBG agreement with the City of West Chicago by roll call.
Other approved items included procurement contracts for the DuPage Care Center: a Kronosync time-clock purchase order not to exceed $52,624 and a rental contract with Advicare Systems not to exceed $67,000. Two small budget transfers were approved: $4,500 to cover three security duress buttons and $112 shifted from overtime to part-time help.
The committee combined consent items 10a–10j and approved a package of purchase order closings and reductions for multiple vendors. Procedural voice votes recorded approval on the majority of items; the West Chicago extension was approved in a roll call with members recorded as voting in the affirmative.
Separately, the committee received an informational grant notice from the Illinois Department of Human Services: GPN00826, a Program Year '26 Homeless System Capacity Expansion Pilot in the amount of $90,920, which was placed on file.
The committee concluded with a brief DuPage Care Center update and closed the meeting.
