The Piedmont Community Charter School board voted unanimously to approve a personnel report and received enrollment and lottery updates from the head of school at its Feb. 11 meeting.
Speaker 2, identified in the meeting as head of school, said there were 1,938 students enrolled as of Feb. 11, with 677 in kindergarten through fourth grade, 659 in middle school and 602 in high school. "As of today at 04:00, we have received 1,056 applications for our lottery," Speaker 2 reported.
Speaker 2 presented a personnel report that the board was asked to approve. The personnel items noted in the transcript included Christine Crawford moving from teacher assistant to registrar at the elementary campus; Jamie Pena and Tessa Burnett hired as first‑grade teacher assistants; Crystal Warner hired as a full‑time exceptional‑children (EC) teacher at the high school; Mandy Klein hired as HR coordinator representing all campuses; and the retirement of Deborah Mull in December.
Speaker 3 moved to approve the personnel report and the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote with 'Aye' recorded; the transcript records the vote as unanimous. The board did not record additional conditions or amendments to the personnel report in the transcript.
