ST. PAUL, Minn. — The Minnesota Senate convened for opening day on Feb. 17, completed roll call, adopted a procedural authors' motion, recessed, and adjourned until Feb. 19 at 11 a.m.
The secretary read the roll call and the presiding officer confirmed a quorum. The presiding officer announced the introduction and first reading of bills listed on the introduction calendar; the transcript does not record the text of any individual bill.
By voice vote the senate "adopted the author's motion as one motion," a procedural step to handle multiple items on the agenda.
