Mayor spotlights Bear Complex, unveils 2026 Mondays with the Mayor lineup

Mayor Pete opened the February Mondays with the Mayor at Bear Complex and introduced owners Nate Ritchie and Marissa, who described the business's e-commerce warehouse and storefront selling fitness gear, supplements and custom Crown Point team apparel. "We've been residents of Crown Point for about 21 years and are very proud to be a business owner here," Nate Ritchie said.
The mayor walked through the 2026 schedule for Mondays with the Mayor, naming venues and spotlight departments: the old courthouse (March 23), Yuki Country Club (April), Crown Point Library (May), Maplewood Cemetery (June Memorial Day service with Tom Hawes), Julie's Boutique (July), the Public Works facility (August evening), On the Square Sports Academy (September), the YMCA/Sportsplex (October), First United Methodist Church (November) and Radius on the square (December). He said the city is maintaining a wait list for 2027 hosts.
The event combined a business spotlight with a broad community update and Q&A. Attendees asked about business operations, local sports events and how to contact city staff. Mayor Pete encouraged residents to follow up with the owners or city staff for additional details or to request a future host spot.
The mayor closed by inviting residents to the next Mondays with the Mayor on March 23 at the old courthouse.
