County staff (Ms. Sturgill) said the quote covers one gray Tahoe at $50,000 and two white Tahoes for a combined $100,000, for a total of $150,000. She confirmed the vehicles will be paid for from the sheriff’s traffic enforcement fund and that outfitting costs will be addressed from either that fund or other departmental budgets.
A supervisor moved to approve the cooperative procurement; the motion was seconded and passed by voice vote with seven in favor and none opposed.
Ms. Sturgill said the cooperative procurement was used because the quoted amount exceeded her individual approval authority (over $100,000 required board approval). The board did not specify additional conditions for outfitting costs or financing beyond the stated funding source.
